The Calumet Heights Community Coalition is a grass roots community organization serving the needs of this Chicago south side neighborhood.
The purpose of the Calumet Heights Community Coalition is to promote neighborhood unity and security. The Coalition improves the quality of life of residents by leveraging existing and emerging community assets, creating a forum where residents, block clubs, government, police, businesses and community-faith based organizations connect and collaborate.

86th Euclid & Jeffery Block Club
All information that pertains to the 86th Euclid & Jeffery block club will go in this space.

The few lights on this block are very nice especially at Xmas. It would be nice to show unity on this block by having more houses with the same lighting out front. We have also stenciled home addresses on the garages in the alleys in the Jeffery/Euclid Block the addresses on the garages have helped us when requesting city services. It would be nice to have new faces at our Block Club Meetings on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 at Southlawn Methodist Church.
We have received two quotes for the installation of yard lights. You will receive a flyer with complete information regarding the purchasing of lawn lights within the next few days. I will also include a draft of "who we are" as a block club for us to discuss and vote on during our next meeting on Monday, August 23rd.
Wonderful things continue to happen everyday on our blocks. Read the flyer for more details.
